It had been two days since that horrible, dreadful experience at martial art class he had attended. While that torture had ended, the other still continued. Well, they had switch to stuffing him lockers this week.
Sleph contemplated his next move while he quietly munched on a carrot. He hated vegetables, but no one would still a vegetable lunch.
That’s when it happened.
“I’m so sorry!!!” He was then hit by a large, solid something and was knocked off the bench he was sitting on.
“Ow!” He struggled and flailed, though gracefully. Don’t ask how that’s possible. That’s when he realized something had wrapped around his arms and was making sounds.
Oh, wait. It was saying something.
“I’m really really sorry! Please come back!” Pleading blue eyes stared at him desperately, tears making them shine.
“You.” Sleph glared at the annoying boy from the martial art class. What was his name? Wait, what did it matter?! “Get off me!”
He didn’t, instead he just gripped him harder and wailed. “Come back!”
“To what?!” Sleph demanded as he was forced to give up struggling. For not being any bigger then Sleph, the boy was sure strong when he wanted to be.
“To the martial arts class! I miss you!” He sniffled pathetically. God, was the kid a boy or a girl? Or even older then five for that matter!
“No! Off! Now!” Sleph snapped again and squirmed.
“PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!”
Sleph paused to look at the gathering of people who were coming to see what was going on. He did not need this! Stupid, annoying brat. “Fine, whatever, off!”
The kid’s eyes light up like it was Christmas, but unfortunately he still. Hadn’t. Let. Him. GO! “Really? Oh, yay!”
“Sasash…” A very lazy, almost tired voice, called out softly from the crowd of people.
Sasash, so he knew his name now, released him and jumped up. He ran to one of the people and hugged him instead. Good, he was leaving Sleph alone.
Sleph slowly stood up and brushed himself off before he glanced at the boy that had called Sasash off him. If Sleph was a nicer person or didn’t have pride problems he might have called his savior. Hah.
The boy was tall. Well, tall by Sleph account, but him being short meant the boy was probably just above average. He had feathery blond hair, but he had the same blue eyes as Sasash. That sky blue, but unlike Sasash there was no sparkle. It was more like the same stone, but this boy’s had never been polished.
Actually, the more Sleph studied the boy, the more he realized how completely polar the two’s mannerisms were. Sasash was hyper and childish, this boy was calm and… strangely ancient. He’s almost what you might expect an elf to look like from all those fairy tale books.
“… This is my new friend!” Sasash happily declared and pointed to Sleph.
Sleph blinked. “What?” That boy? Damnit, Sleph suddenly wish he had been paying attention just what Sasash had told the older boy.
“Is… that so? I see.” His voice was so strange. It wasn’t like he didn’t care or was uninterested, but it was just so… monotone. No energy. No passion. Or maybe you could kind of compare it to someone who was in a daze, but was still completely functional.
Sasash nodded happily. “Oh! I never got you’re name!” He turned to Sleph and smiled very brightly. He was so happy. It annoyed Sleph.
He answered anyways. For some reason he didn’t want to immediately alienate the older boy that Sasash was clinging to. “Sleph Erran.”
Sasash clapped his hands and did a spin in his excitement. “Sleph! Okay, Sleph this is my older brother! Eon!” He hugged the blond again.
The crowd had started to disperse when Eon had showed up. Sleph wondered if it was because Eon intimidated them or this was just too normal an occurrence. “Nice to meet.” Sleph said generically. Anything more would be a waste of his creativity.
“Likewise.” Eon’s wasn’t anymore creativity. He looked down at his little brother who was smiling at him brightly. “You shouldn’t make such a scene.”
Sasash’s smile immediately crumbled and he looked like his whole world had just fallen apart.
Sleph held back a snort.
Eon, however, gently ran a hand through his brother’s hair. “It’s fine. Just mentioning it. I’ll see you after class, alright?”
And then it was back. That annoying smile of Sasash’s and that upbeat voice. “Okay! Bye-bye!!”
That’s when he turned on Sleph again. And all Sleph could do was ask himself, ‘why me?’
Lunch was horrible. Sasash never shut up. Sleph didn’t even try to follow the boy’s thought pattern. He had more important things to think about. Like how he was going to get the seniors to leave him alone.
And keep the boy from killing in the martial arts class. While Sleph was a lot of nasty things, he was a man of his word. He would be going. Well, at least one more time to keep his word. He just had to figure out how to unattached Sasash before then.
This should be easy for a genius like him.
Lying to himself didn’t work very well.

Gone is what we used to be.
I regret it now; I finally see....
It's time to set these feelings free
That once almost destroyed me.
You probably don't think it's true,
But, yes, I was in love with you.
I just now realized that we're through,
And I think it's split my heart in two.
Even though I know we're over,
Sometimes I still look over my shoulder,
Hoping it's me that you're looking at, though you're holding her.
I can feel my heart freeze.....It gets colder and colder.
One day soon it will break,
But what difference does it make?
I have realized my mistake,
But, alas, it is too late.
To have ever loved in the first place

Talking about birds
And old ladies sporting binoculars
Getting in heated debates with abortion groups.
This is what poems would write
If poems could write themselves.
Poems would read their last words

Standing on my roof
Wind blowing in my hair
All alone was I
Because of my who I'd come to be
Others only stared
Then it began to storm
Salt tears on fresh rain
I fell off my roof
Sure soon to feel more pain
You caught me without harm
Even in the awful beating
Of the thundering rain
All the tourment of lonelyness
And all my inside pain
Your my sheild and Coat of Arms
My flag to show the way
After all the awful things I said
Even closer now you stay
And my heart this Rooftop Storm tonight
Forever will be warmed
By a fire I'll never let fade

All Sleph wanted was peace, quiet, and completely utter respect and obedience from everyone around him. Was that really that much to ask for?

This has a plot! I swear it does. Just wait until Sleph managed to sink his claws into something, then it gets interesting.
